Is there a shuttle service to the hotel?

How far is the hotel from the airport?

The hotel is approximately 25 minutes away from the airport.

How can I get a taxi to the hotel?

Upon arrival, there will be a public taxi dispatch desk across the driveway as soon as you exit the airport terminal. Advise the dispatcher that you will be going to Hawksbill Resort, and you will be assigned a taxi to transport you to the resort. The cost is approximately US $20.00 per couple. The transfer should take 25 minutes and it may involve sharing a taxi with other arriving guests.

Can a taxi be arranged in advance?

No advance arrangement is needed as taxis are readily available at the airport.

How much does it cost to take a taxi to the hotel?

Taxis cost US $20.00 per couple from the airport to the hotel and US $20.00 per couple from the hotel to the airport.

Can a private transfer be arranged?

Yes, our reservations team can arrange a private transfer for you.

What type of vehicles are used for the Private Transfer?

SUVs are used for Private Transfers.

How do I identify the driver from the Private Transfer company?

Once you exit the airport terminal, the driver from the Private Transfer company will be holding a sign with your name and flight details.

What is the cost of a Private Transfer?

Private Transfers costs US $75.00 one way or US $150.00 round-trip, per couple.



Are you located in the USVI?

No, Hawksbill Resort is located in the Caribbean island of Antigua.

Which side of the island are you located on?

Hawksbill Resort is located on the west coast or Caribbean Sea side of the Island.

How are the beaches on your side of the island?

Calmer, with clearer water and free from seaweed.

Do you have a seaweed issue?

No. The Sargassum Seaweed does not affect this side of the island.


All Inclusive Rates

Are all drinks, (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) part of the all-inclusive menu?

Yes, Hawksbill Resort rates are inclusive of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

I don’t drink alcohol, can I opt out of this and get a lower rate?

No, the hotel only offers rates that are inclusive of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Is it possible to book breakfast only?

No, the hotel only offers rates that are inclusive of all meals, snacks and drinks.

Is it possible to book a room only without food?

No, the hotel only offers rates that are inclusive of room, all meals, snacks and drinks.

Does the rate include airfare?

The rates on the hotel's direct website do not include airfare. You will have to book a flight separately. See our flights page for help.

Does the rate on your direct website include taxes?

Yes, the rates on the direct website include all taxes.



Can we check out late?

Yes, you can request a late checkout on the day of departure then stay on property until 8:00 pm that evening. This service attracts an additional cost of US $150.00 and is subject to room availability.

Are the beaches private?

By law, all beaches in Antigua are open for public use. However, the beach at the hotel is massive and almost always deserted save for hotel guests. Most times you'll feel as if you have the beach all to yourself.

Do you accept pets?

No. Pets are not allowed on property.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is allowed in outdoor areas of the property.

Are there lots of mosquitoes?

Mosquitoes are most active for a brief period during and shortly after dusk.

How are you mitigating against mosquitoes and other bugs?

We have our own in-house mosquito treatment system which is very comprehensive and environmentally friendly. It involves:

  • Fogging and misting of the foliage and vegetation.
  • The use of in2care traps in and around resort buildings.
  • Treatment of standing water catchments with exterminating briquettes.
What type of current is used in the hotel?

Rooms are 110v 60 cycles with North American 3 pin sockets. Adapters would be recommended should you be travelling from the UK.

What currency is used on the island?

Both EC and US dollars are accepted. Should you use US$, we suggest bringing smaller denominations (1s, 5s, 10s , 20s) in order to reduce the amount of EC dollar change you receive.

Where can we get smaller notes from?

Local banks in Antigua can provide you with smaller dollar notes. However, due to the long wait times, we strongly suggest bringing smaller denominations (1s, 5s, 10s , 20s) of the US currency.

Is tipping expected/required?

Tipping is appreciated but not required. You may do it at your own discretion.

How do I leave a tip for the staff?

Tips can be given directly to a staff member, left at the front desk or charged to your card on checkout with your instructions.



What is the main difference between each Room?

Each room type offers distinct features that set them apart. These include direct beach access, private space, convenient access to common areas, breathtaking ocean views, a serene and secluded location with magnificent sea views, affordability without compromising beach access, and the availability of watersports and lunch options.

Which room type is closest to the central facilities (front desk, restaurant etc.)?

The Great House (King) rooms provide the ideal combination of easy access to common areas and breathtaking ocean views.

How far away are the Rooms from the beach?

The rooms offer unparalleled proximity to the beach, with only a few steps separating you from its beauty. The Garden Suites, while still close, are positioned just slightly further back from the shoreline.

Approximately how big are the rooms?

The room sizes may vary, accommodating a range of 2 to 4 persons. Each room is equipped with either a king-size bed or two double beds, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, every room features a patio or balcony furnished with seating arrangements, providing a delightful space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

In terms of furniture, what is included in each room?

Each room offers either a king-size bed or two double beds. For your convenience, amenities such as a security safe, air-conditioning, and a ceiling fan amongst other amenities are provided. The rooms are further complemented by patio or balcony furniture, & beach loungers and chairs.

Is it possible to have a second bed in the room?

No, additional beds cannot be added. However we offer rooms with two double beds that can comfortably accommodate up to four guests.

Can I be guaranteed a specific room?

Regrettably, we are unable to provide a guarantee for a specific room prior to your arrival. However, we would be pleased to make a note of your preference, and we will do our best to accommodate it based on availability.

Can we upgrade our room?

Certainly! If you wish to upgrade your room, we offer the option to do so at an additional charge. For further assistance and to explore the available upgrade options, please contact our Reservations team here.

How much would it cost to upgrade?

Certainly! The cost of an upgrade can vary based on several factors, such as the room type, availability, and specific requests. For personalized assistance regarding the upgrade options and their respective costs, I recommend reaching out to our Reservations Team. They will be able to provide you with detailed information and help you choose the most suitable upgrade based on your preferences and budget.

I'm on a budget, what room type would you suggest?

Our Garden View Bungalows are the perfect choice for those seeking budget-friendly accommodations. These bungalows offer a pleasant view of the garden and provide reasonably quick access to the beach, water-sports, and lunch time dining whilst having separate beds for you and your companion.

Do you have any twin beds in the rooms?

Yes, our Beachfront Bungalows are furnished with two double beds which sleeps a max of two persons.


In-Room Amenities

Are the rooms air conditioned?

Yes, all rooms are air conditioned.

Is there a mini bar in the room?

Complimentary in room mini bar which is restocked daily for guests who book direct here.

For guests who do not book direct, the mini fridge can be stoked based on guests request at an additional charge.

Can I get Wi-Fi from my room?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in each room and throughout other areas of the property.

Does each room include a safe?

Yes, there is a security safe in each room.

Can a television be requested for our room? Is there any alternative?

Televisions cannot be added to a room. You can however  connect your devices to our complimentary Wi-Fi to stream your favourite shows.

Do you have hairdryers in the room?

Yes, there is a hairdryer in each room.

Do you provide towels?

Yes, Hawksbill provides clean towels daily for guests to use indoors and on the beach.

What type of toiletries are available in each room soap, shampoo etc.?

Bathrooms are stocked with soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toilet paper and facial tissue. 

Does each room have an ironing board and iron?

Yes. Ironing boards and irons are are available in each room.

Do we need to bring adapters or transformers?

Cottages are 110v 60 cycles with North American 3 pin sockets. Adapters are recommended if you are travelling from the UK or Europe.


Occupancy Rules

What age is regarded as an adult?

An adult is anyone 18 years of age and older as per the laws of Antigua and Barbuda.

Can our children travel with us?

Yes, once they are 12+ years or older.

Can I stay there as a single person in a room?

Yes. Singles are accepted.

Can three people use a room?

Yes. Many of our rooms can sleep up to 4 persons.

Do you accept same sex couples?

Yes, same sex are welcomed at the hotel.


Food & Drink

Do you cater to Vegans?

Yes, vegan meals are available on our menu and can be made upon request.

How many restaurants do you have?

There are four restaurants on property for our guests to enjoy.

Do you offer buffet service?

Yes, all meals at the resort are Buffet or A La Carte.

Is the private beach dinner included in the all inclusive?

The Romantic Beach Dinners is an additional service which attracts an extra charge. Learn more here.

I follow a strict Kosher diet, can you accommodate that?

No, we cannot accommodate guests who follow a strict Kosher diet.

What types of dietary needs have you successfully catered to in the past?

We have catered for lactose intolerant, vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians and individuals who are on a gluten free diet.  Please state your dietary preferences when you check in online.

When should I advise the hotel of my dietary needs?

You should state your dietary preferences when you check in online.

Can I go off property for dinner/lunch? If so, any suggestions

Yes, you can dine at nearby restaurants such as Le Bistro, Hemingway’s, Papa Zouk, Beach Limerz, Dawns Soleil Kafe, Nomad, Cutie’s Restaurant & Bar, The Larder, Casa Roots and many more.

What is included in the beach dinner?

Romantic Beach Dinners offer different menus from the All-Inclusive menus, and a privately set up Cabana on the beach with a private waiter.

How much does it cost?

Beach Dinners attract an extra charge of US $180.00.

Can I have my Beach Dinner at sunset?

Beach dinners are held simultaneously with dinner which begins at 6:30pm. At most times this is pretty close to sunset.

Would you recommend a Beach Dinner for a proposal?

Yes, Private Romantic Beach Dinners, with a candlelit pergola on the beach, will serve as an ideal setting for your proposal.


Resort Dining Dress Code

Is there a dress policy in place for dining at the resort?
We do not have a strict dress code. However, we ask that guests are fully covered and dry once entering the dining areas.
What are the polices for guest attire when dining?
Breakfast & Lunch :
Although Breakfast and lunch times are more relaxed times  we do ask that guests are fully covered and dry once entering the dining area. 
Long pants or tailored shorts with collared tops (including Polo style) are accepted for men along with close-toed shoes or sandals.
Ladies are asked to wear dresses, blouses, skirts, non-ripped jeans, tailored slacks or tailored shorts  and shoes or sandals. 
Cutoff or ripped jeans, flip flops, beachwear, athletic wear or tennis shoes are not appropriate for dinner.

Hotel Services & Amenities

Is there room service? What does it cost?

No, room service is not available.

Does the hotel have a laundry service?

Yes, we do offer laundry services.

Is there a Public TV Room?

Yes,  we do have a public TV room on property.

Is there a Gym?

Yes. However most people opt to go running or walking along the beach for exercise. The beach is very long and suited to this activity.

Is there a main pool?

Yes, the main pool is accessible from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Are there any water sports?
Included in the nightly rates are complementary paddle boards, kayaks with paddles and life jackets for use by hotel guests., sunfish and hobie cat sailing.  Jet Ski Rides, and short boat rides are available from independent vendors on the beach at an extra charge.
Is there a Gift Shop?

Yes, the hotel has a Gift Shop, Sugar Mill Boutique located in the mill tower.

What are the operating times of the wellness center?

The Healing Hands Wellness Center is opened daily from 9am to 5pm. Spa treatments can be booked within the time slots of 9:00am to 3:30pm. Download our spa price menu here.

How can I book a massage?
Are couples’ massages offered at the hotel?

Yes, we offer both couples and singles massages.

Can the massage be done outside/ in our room?

Yes. This can be requested.

Do you offer massages on the beach?

No. Beach massages are not offered at this time.

What are your policies regarding massaging pregnant women?

Expecting mothers should be past their first trimester of pregnancy before opting to reserve a spa treatment. If you have a pre-condition, submit a letter of consent from your physician to confirm that you are able to get a massage.



Is your property wheelchair accessible?

No, our property is not wheelchair accessible.

Can you accommodate a person with a walking disability?

Yes. We recommend you book a Royal Palm Beach Room, and the Great House Room.



How much does your wedding package cost?

The standard wedding package costs $1,500 plus 15% tax. This cost will vary if you need additional services etc that are not included in the package. Learn more here.

We just need something very basic. Is there any way that you can customise the cost to our needs?

Can my guests who are children staying at another hotel attend?

Yes. However Children must be 12 years and older.

What is the maximum number of persons that I can invite as guests to the hotel as a part of my wedding group?

Up to 16 guests can attend your wedding.

Can children coming for the wedding stay at the hotel as well?

Yes however children under the age of 12 would not be allowed on property.

Is it possible to have a small reception with my guests after or during dinner?

Yes, we can host a small wedding reception with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

How long do I have to be on the island before getting married?

You must be on the island for at least 2 working days before getting married.

Can we use employees of the hotels as our witnesses?

Yes, the resort's employees can act as witnesses on your wedding day.

Can I have assistance with my dress on the wedding day?

Yes, you can have assistance with your dress on your wedding day.

What type of cake is included in the package?

The flavour of your wedding cake will be based on your chosen preference. You can fill out a wedding planner form here.

What does the arch look like?

We prepare custom arches. Feel free to let us know your  preference.

Which photographers do you suggest?

We have a selection of in-house and contract photographers for you to choose from. Contact Reservations for more information.

Can I bring my own Minister to perform the ceremony?

No. An individual must be a legal marriage officer in the state of Antigua and Barbuda before they can officiate a wedding there.

What do you do specially for Honeymooners?

Hawksbill Resort offers a Honeymoon Package with specially discounted rates and benefits. Sign up here.

What room type would you recommend for honeymooners?

For a more memorable honeymoon, consider booking one of our Honeymoon Cove Rooms or one of our Royal Palm Rooms.



How much do I have to pay now to secure a room?

A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The balance is payable upon arrival.

When do I pay the balance?

The balance must be paid on or before  arrival.

Can I pay before I arrive?

Yes, you can pay the total cost of booking before you arrive.

Can I pay over the phone?

Yes. You will need to provide the reservationist with your credit card details.


Cancellation Penalties

What are your regular cancellation policies?
  • Cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival - 30% Penalty
  • Cancellations outside this window - No Penalty.
  • No Shows, non-arrivals and premature checkouts - 30% penalty.

A cancellation is also penalty free where it is brought about by:

  • Imposed travel and/or border restrictions beyond your control.
  • Hurricane or storm related force majeure that makes it impossible for you to travel as scheduled.
What happens to my deposit if I book and have to cancel because of a hurricane?

You can opt to have it refunded or have it credited to a future stay.

Is there any recourse if I cancel during the time when a penalty is applicable?

Each situation is handled on a case by case basis. We are always willing to work with you and to understand your unique circumstances.

What proof do I need to prove I am unable to travel due to illness?

You can submit a letter from your physician to Reservations as evidence that you are unable to travel due to illness.

Do you have paddle boards?

The resort offers paddle boarding as part of our complimentary water-sports activities.

Do you offer kayaking?

Yes, the resort has kayaks, oars and life vests that you can use.

Do you offer jet skis?

No, the resort does not offer Jet Skis, however Jet Ski Rides, and short boat rides are available from independent vendors on the beach at an extra charge.

Is it ok to snorkel on the beach?

Yes, you can.

Is it ok to do shore fishing?

Yes, you can if you have the equipment needed to do so.

What type of entertainment does the hotel provide?

Is there anywhere nearby to play tennis?

Yes, a tennis court as well as tennis instructors are available on property. The court is free for guests to use.

Are there any tennis instructors? How much do they charge?

Yes, tennis as well as tennis instructors are available. Tennis instructors charge US$60.00 per hour for their services.

Are there any golf courses nearby? What is the cost/tee time?

Cedar Valley Golf Course is currently open.

Do we have to book excursions upon our arrival?

No. We advise that you book excursions upon arrival or while you are on property.

What type of excursions would you recommend?

Do you have any packages that include tours/excursions?

No. The hotel does not have specific packages that include tours/excursions.

Do you recommend that we go hiking on our own or should we take a guide?

We recommend that you arrange a guided hike with our front desk team when you are on island.

Would I be able to rent a car/jeep to travel around the island?

Yes, you can.

Does the hotel offer car rentals directly?

No. However we can help you make arrangements including having the car and all paperwork delivered to you on property.

Naturist Eden Beach

Is the nude beach clothing-optional or mandatory nudity?

The setting allows for clothing to be optional.

Are there any amenities or facilities provided on the nude beach, such as beach chairs or umbrellas?

We provide beach chairs with limited umbrellas exclusively for our in-house guests.

Are there any specific rules or guidelines regarding behavior on the nude beach?

The use of cameras, drones, and similar devices is strictly prohibited.

Are there any barriers or signage in place to clearly indicate the boundaries of the nude beach?

Yes, there are barriers and signage in place to clearly indicate the boundaries of the nude beach

Is there a policy to prevent nudity on the beach from spreading to other areas of the Resort?

Yes,  a policy has been put  in  place to ensure that nudity on the beach is limited to Eden Beach only and does not extend to other areas of the hotel property.

How do you protect the privacy of naturist guests using the beach?

During the day, the beach is manned by our security guard to ensure the safety and privacy of our naturist guests.

Are there other non-nudist beaches at the resort?

In addition to the nude beach, we have three other beaches on our property that cater to guests who prefer a more traditional clothing-required environment.
